5 of the best websites to shop vintage and pre-loved

We believe in a hybrid approach to clothes here at Stripped. There’s no doubt that the most sustainable garment is the one that’s already in your wardrobe. But that’s not denying that we all need to update pieces every so often. We believe in a mix of mindfully made new pieces that are designed to last, and pre-loved and vintage clothing.

There’s nothing better in our minds than rummaging through a vintage emporium, like magpies on a hunt for treasure. Though that process can be pretty magical, it can also be time-consuming, and not all of us are lucky enough to have great vintage stores in our towns. So, we’ve rounded up our favourite sites to shop pre-owned, which mean we can now shop vintage with ease, from the comfort of our sofas.

Retold Vintage

A gorgeous curation of vintage pieces. We wait on tenterhooks for each new launch but you do have to be seriously quick. Sign up to their mailing list to ensure you’re always in the know for a new drop.

One Scoop Store

Modern vintage and preloved. Range curated by founder, Holly Watkins and man does she know how to select beautiful pieces. Lots of second-hand high street pieces at great prices, curated into a desirable and wearable edit. What’s not to love?!

Curate and Rotate

Each week, Melanie, the eagle-eyed founder of C&R, puts a rotation of pre-loved clothing live on the site. A mix of designer, vintage and independent brands, Melanie has an incredible eye for beautiful pieces. Her classically minimalist, neutral edit never fails to inspire us.

Farfetch Preloved

A more premium choice, but if you’re considering splashing out on designer accessories it is definitely worth a look. With a little patience there are some amazing deals to be had, while also giving new life to an existing piece.
