The Thistle Edit's Favourite Pieces

My Favourite Picks from Stripped Store

By Carrie @the.thistle.edit

This week, we're joined by the wonderful Carrie from The Thistle Edit. An advocate for sustainable fashion, Carrie loves to share brilliant small brands with her audience alongside pre-loved fashion. Here she brings what pieces she's loving on Stripped Store right now.

"Ever since my Mum dressed me in clothes from the local Oxfam shop as a child, I have been a passionate sustainable fashion advocate and my Instagram account is dedicated to the whole concept. It has been a joy to discover Amy and Sarah’s website, Stripped Store, which champions conscious purchasing and promotes small, independent made-to-order brands as well as providing real clarity on greenwashing. When they asked me to choose my four favourite pieces from their site, I literally asked if I could bite their hand off… So here they are.

"First up is the wicker Kuai Handbag in Dusk. I’ve lusted after one of these Wicker Wings bags for a long time, and the magical story behind these bags is something to behold. For me, the excitement comes from owning not just a beautiful bag, but one from a brand which has sustainability at its core. I have been asked about this bag more than any bag I have ever owned!"

"Secondly, I am in love with the sheer versatility of the Ada Dress from Little Collective – a dress which can be worn year-round and which goes with everything. This dress is made to order and you will get a proper size consultation before they make it for you. True slow fashion, that is."

"If you, like me, love stunning jewellery but would prefer jewellery which considers environmental impact at every stage of the process then look no further than the Rope Ring by Claire Hibon Jewellery – a timeless design which is now on my birthday wishlist."

"And finally for a big of high-end glamour and class, it has to be the Bokkusu Pleated Blouse by AK Threads. I love quirky tailoring at work and this blouse just sparks joy."
