LAM make a large effort to ensure that all materials used are the most ethical, low impact as they can be. They ensure that the yarn used is always part of a verified organisation who regulates the ethical measures of the production. This includes using Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton which has 19% lower emissions than production of cotton elsewhere. All packaging used is fully recyclable with no plastic, reducing the amount of energy needed.

LAM Clothing designs for longevity with quality of materials in mind. This product has been made using a combination of GOTS organic cotton and cashmere, meaning that these natural fibres can be recycled, or even biodegraded professionally at the end of life. LAM keep all their product sampling to an absolute minimum, and ensure all yarn is accounted for an used.

The mill used by LAM Clothing uses only environmentally friendly dyes. 60% of the water used at the dye house is recycled back into the production process through a wastewater treatment plant. All chemicals used must meet strict toxicity and biodegradability criteria. The dyes meet the OEKO-TEX standard 100, INTERTEK (who approve for chemical safety) and REACH standards. Additionally, the dyes are high absorbency, which directly leads to less water and energy consumption. The mill is a proud member of ISO, bringing together worldwide members to share expert market based relevant information to support and provide solutions to global challenges.

LAM is committed to fair workers rights, working closely with their factory who have a WRAP Compliance certification, meaning they are dedicated to ethical and responsible business standards. It demonstrates they obey the laws of their country, treat workers with dignity and respect, and are conscious of the impact their operation has on the environment. The WRAP certificate is a recognized symbol of a commitment to uphold social and ethical standards. LAM also uses fabrics which have been certified by organisation including BCI and FSC.
