Hermit is constantly striving to be a carbon neutral business.
By partnering with Ecologi, an organisation that facilitates environmental projects, they offset their carbon emissions, taking them one step closer to their mission. All of Hermit’s materials are sourced from within the UK, both championing British businesses and reducing their footprint.

Hermit’s founding principle is based on closing the loop on
textile waste. All of their items are made out of discarded luxury bed linen made from 100% natural cotton, resulting in products that are fully biodegradable. To further limit waste, Hermit orders are accompanied by a hair scrunchie and drawstring laundry bag made from the offcuts of the bed linen used to create this piece.

Using repurposed bed linen to create their pieces, Hermit eliminates the need to use water in their production process. 12,500 litres of water are required to create one sheet of luxury bed linen which, in turn, makes one pyjama set, effectively saving 12,500 litres of water with every item.

Hermit choose to have their designs crafted within the UK,
with a talented group of seamstresses bringing them to life by hand in the depths of Somerset. Their designs require skilled craftsmanship to ensure that they are of the highest quality and are created in an environment that ensures fair pay and supports female owned businesses.
